Smart Startup Mosaic for Youth in full swing

The PoMP project has transitioned into the second half, moving into the third phase, where the key target group is Slovenian primary school and high school students, especially those from rural areas. ZRS Bistra Ptuj covers the Podravje region in the project. We utilized our name for wordplay (“bistra” translated as smart), naming our pilot activities for students “Bistri startup mozaik za mlade” (Smart Startup Mosaic for Youth).

After an intensive campaign among headmasters, gaining their support and recognition that our youth greatly need entrepreneurial skills and the PoMP Academy, which equipped teachers with knowledge, modern learning methods, and practical materials on how to empower young people for entrepreneurship, it’s now time for their students. Workshops are taking place in primary and secondary schools, where students are divided into startup teams. Together, they brainstorm challenges in their environment and develop solutions in the form of business ideas. Teachers, who have attended the PoMP Academy, and the PoMP project team guide them in their work.

In four months, we assisted 11 teachers from four schools in developing business ideas to startups with their students. Check out our startup video mosaic at the following link:
